In recent years, research has been carried out to reconstruct the birth and the development of the computer science at the University of Padua. The research has made possible to find original and hitherto unpublished documents in the Historical Archive of the University of Padua which help to reconstruct initiatives, sometimes very innovative indeed, such as the construction of a computer in the years 1958-1961.
