The conversion to a circular supply chain is not easy. The transition requires the involvement of numerous actors, inside and outside the original linear supply chain, whose selection is a key activity for creating the circular supply networks. Partners must take specific roles and have precise characteristics, peculiar of collaborative relationship for circularity, such as willingness to resource and knowledge sharing, an aligned vision and interest and openness to new investments. The aims of this paper are to deepen our understanding and provide guidance on partner management and governance in a circular economy project.
