In this paper, we present an experiment to create a social community on film-induced tourism, which is visitation of places related to film productions. The first part of the paper briefly reviews the state of the art on crowdsourcing, because the tasks identifying the location where a movie scene has been filmed does not require skilled experts. Yet, general users need to be motivated for completing these tasks, which is the reason why this paper pays attention to the narcissistic act of exhibitionism aimed at social recognition. In the final part, the paper introduces a project that aims at enriching a digital collection of information about places appearing in movies and other audio-visual artefacts. It also includes a brief illustration about the obtained results and the exploited strategy

Abstract
In this paper, we present an experiment to create a social community on film-induced tourism, which is visitation of places related to film productions. The first part of the paper briefly reviews the state of the art on crowdsourcing, because the tasks identifying the location where a movie scene has been filmed does not require skilled experts. Yet, general users need to be motivated for completing these tasks, which is the reason why this paper pays attention to the narcissistic act of exhibitionism aimed at social recognition. In the final part, the paper introduces a project that aims at enriching a digital collection of information about places appearing in movies and other audio-visual artefacts.
