We present the synthesis and characterization of new peptide-based gelators designed to favour gelation in aqueous solution via formation of extended intermolecular H-bonding-mediated β-sheet network and π-π stacking. These new peptide-based hydrogels have been applied in three different fields: amines sensing, water remediation and optoelectronic devices. Herein we report also the design, synthesis and characterization of new Donor-π-Acceptor systems mediated by a triazole unit. Spectroscopical characterizations and theoretical calculations are reported to get insight into the ICT phenomenon.

Abstract
We present the synthesis and characterization of new peptide-based gelators designed to favour gelation in aqueous solution via formation of extended intermolecular H-bonding-mediated β-sheet network and π-π stacking. These new peptide-based hydrogels have been applied in three different fields: amines sensing, water remediation and optoelectronic devices. Herein we report also the design, synthesis and characterization of new Donor-π-Acceptor systems mediated by a triazole unit. Spectroscopical characterizations and theoretical calculations are reported to get insight into the ICT phenomenon.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
