The Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) industry faces increasing demand for customised, sustainable, and cost-efficient solutions. Mass customisation (MC) offers a viable pathway to meet these demands. The present study conducts a systematic literature review on the advanced technologies and core MC enablers that support MC strategies in the AEC sector. A performance-based classification is applied to analyse 214 relevant publications by customisation level, enablers use, and outcomes across cost, flexibility, and scalability performance. The study offers a structured synthesis of fragmented literature and identifies future research opportunities on MC in AEC industry.
