UV/IR flavour connection in axion models

Flavour-violating axions appear in models where the Peccei-Quinn (PQ) charges are generation non-universal. Consequently, this charge arrangement also generates flavour violation in the ultraviolet (UV) completion. One way to implement such an axion in a UV completion is with a DFSZ model containing two Higgs doublets. In this talk, we will present how to parameterise the flavour violation in the UV to find a direct correlation with the flavour violation of the axion. Finally, we will show a couple of examples where this connection can provide information about the different sectors if a deviation is found in some experiment.
