The aim of this paper is to illustrate how gender disparities in the labour market are frequently linked to a differentiated distribution—both in type and incidence—of occupational diseases. This divergence stems from unequal exposure to health risks as well as from biological and socio‑cultural specificities associated with each sex. After examining the underlying causes, psychosocial risks, and their distinct effects on men and women, the study proposes a dedicated assessment framework for this category of risk. Drawing on INAIL and EU‑OSHA guidelines, the framework promotes interdisciplinary collaboration between company personnel and external professionals, particularly psychologists and experts in organisational studies.

Abstract
The aim of this paper is to illustrate how gender disparities in the labour market are frequently linked to a differentiated distribution—both in type and incidence—of occupational diseases. This divergence stems from unequal exposure to health risks as well as from biological and socio‑cultural specificities associated with each sex. After examining the underlying causes, psychosocial risks, and their distinct effects on men and women, the study proposes a dedicated assessment framework for this category of risk. Drawing on INAIL and EU‑OSHA guidelines, the framework promotes interdisciplinary collaboration between company personnel and external professionals, particularly psychologists and experts in organisational studies.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
