We experimentally validate a nonlinearity-tailored carrier phase estimation (CPE) technique for subcarrier multiplexing systems. Leveraging data-aided modeling of nonlinear phase noise, the proposed method outperforms joint CPE by up to 0.2 dB after 3000 km transmission.

Abstract
