We investigate the impact of distributed Raman amplification on OSNR in ESCL wideband transmission, comparing short and extended-reach links. While a marginal improvement in OSNR is observed at 50 km, a significant enhancement is observed at 150 km, yielding a 39.0 % improvement in FEC-decoded throughput.
