We investigate and quantify the throughput gains of distributed Raman amplification over ultrawideband ESCL transmission systems. Our results show distance-dependent data-rate improvements of 1.5%, 5.3%, and 40.0% at 50 km, 100 km, and 150 km, respectively.

Abstract
