The Green Dialogues explores the role of childrens literature in developing ecocritical thinking, sustainability awareness and dialogic educational practices. Developed within an international collaboration involving teacher education institutions in Norway, Italy and Catalonia, the volume brings together ecocritical literacy, dialogic teaching, critical verbal and visual literacy, transactional close reading, interdisciplinary perspectives, and aesthetic and performative approaches. Its theoretical framework is translated into fifteen educational pathways centred on childrens literature and designed to foster critical, relational and collaborative engagement with environmental, cultural and social issues. The activities address topics including migration, childrens rights, discrimination, cultural and linguistic diversity, inclusion, plant awareness, consumerism, sustainable living and environmental emergencies. Combining theoretical reflection and educational practice, the book proposes an interdisciplinary approach to childrens literature as a resource for teacher education, climate literacy, critical citizenship and sustainability education.
