A method for producing a solid body of glass is described. The method comprises providing a polymerisable composition, curing the polymerisable composition to obtain a cured body, subjecting the cured body to thermal debinding to substantially remove the organic components in the cured body, and subjecting the cured body to sintering to obtain a solid body of silica glass. The polymerisable composition one or more at least partially organic polymerisable compound(s) which form a liquid composition at operating temperature and a solid source of silica as colloidal silica particles or silica glass micro-/nanoparticles dispersed in the liquid composition. The one or more at least partially organic polymerisable compounds comprises at least one organosilicon compound as a second source of silica that is liquid or solubilisable in the liquid composition at operating temperature to thereby increase the silica loading of the cured body prior to sintering. Compositions and methods for producing solid glass objects by additive manufacturing are also described.

A prediction block is obtained (E66) on the basis of said previously reconstructed reference image of said second view and of said motion information item obtained. The current block is reconstructed (E68) on the basis of the prediction block, of an decoded prediction residual information item (E650) on the basis of the stream of coded data and of a difference information item calculated between a first block associated with the first view and a second block associated with the second view and decoded (E67) on the basis of the stream of coded data.

Si può operare in sistema omogeneo o eterogeneo in fase liquida. Prodotti particolarmente interessanti ottenibili con detto processo sono l'acido levulinico e
l'acido 3-benzoilpropanoico. (R = alchile C1-C20, arile semplice o sostituito, alchilarile, aralchile, cicloalchile;
R1 = H, alchile C1-C6, arile semplice o sostituito oppure R ed R1 assieme agli atomi di C cui sono legati, formano un anello cicloalifatico).
La reazione richiede pressioni parziali di CO comprese tra 10 e 200 atm, preferibilmente intorno alle 20-30 atmosfere e temperature comprese tra i 50 e 140 °C, preferibilmente tra 100 e 110°C. In queste condizioni la reazione è completa in 1-2 ore

The present research is directed to the identification of non-peptidic inhibitors of cathepsin G characterised by high levels of selectivity and which can be efficaciously used in the treatment and prophylaxis of inflammatory occurrences and procoagulant conditions. The cathepsin G-inhibiting aptamers according to the invention consist of linear DNA or polynucleotide sequences having a chaing length of at least 60 nucleotides and being substantially not subjected to undergo efficient base pairing.

Method for coordinating a plurality of sensors, wherein a plurality of networked computers control the sensors for the purpose of executing one or more services requested through the network. In order to coordinate with one another, the computers exchange information over the network in a manner such that each networked computer knows the characteristics of and the services executed by the other computers. Subsequently, the computers providing the same service execute the same configuration algorithm that defines the tasks to be carried out by each computer as a function of the characteristics of the computers providing said same service. Thus, the computers get to the same conclusions as to the tasks to be carried out, and control the sensors based on the tasks defined by the configuration algorithm.

An event detection method for video surveillance systems and a related video surveillance system are described. The method comprises a learning phase, wherein learning images of a supervised area are acquired at different time instants in the absence of any detectable events, and an operating detection phase wherein current images of said area are acquired. The method detects an event by comparing a current image with an image corresponding to a linear combination of a plurality of reference images approximating, or coinciding with, respective learning images.

Chemical stripping is realised on chromium
plated polymeric (ABS, for instance) or passivatable
metallic (e.g. Al,Ti) substrates. The components of the
plating are copper, nickel and chromium. Stripping is
performed with an inorganic acid (preferably sulphuric)
and hydrogen peroxide composition, and involves the
oxidation and dissolution of copper and nickel, but not
of chromium. Chromium is recovered as fine little metallic
sheets whereas copper and nickel are recovered
from the solution by chemical and/or electrochemical
methods. The invention allows the complete reutilization
of polymeric and metallic substrates, as required by actual
laws, and the recovery of the plating components,
avoiding the contamination of the environment.

Procedimento di scrittura tridimensionale su materiale fotosensibile, caratterizzato dal fatto che si utilizza come materiale fotosensibile un ma-teriale ibrido organico-inorganico, ottenuto a par-tire da
un alcossido di silicio trifunzionale di formula (I): in cui R' è un residuo organico scelto dal gruppo che consiste di glicidossialchile, metacrilossial-chile,
vinile, isocianatoalchile, amminoalchile, poliamminoalchile, in cui alchile ha da 1 a 18 ato-mi di
carbonio, preferibilmente da 1 a 6 atomi di carboni e OR è scelto tra idrogeno, alchile infe-riore (C1-C4) ed arile, mediante un processo di sintesi sol-gel comprenden-te la pre-idrolisi e condensazione di detto alcossido
ed in cui il sol così ottenuto è depositato a film su di un substrato ed irradiato ai fini della scrittura con radiazioni UV, raggi X o elettroni di radiazione di sincrotrone.

A process for preparing such compound, comprising the step of providing at least one base polymer, at least one flame retardant agent, at least one reinforcing component and a nanofiller, dispersing the nanofiller in the base polymer, adding the reinforcing component, adding the flame-retardant agent is disclosed as well.

An impact resistant thermoplastic compound, comprising an ABS matrix, a thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) and a modifier, wherein the ABS is of the mass-polymerized type and the thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) is of the polyester type. A process for preparing such compound was developed.
