We analyze all possible sources of radiative gaugino masses in a class of SU(3) ⊗ SU(2) ⊗ U(1) locally supersymmetric models. Barring direct gaugino masses and radiative contributions from superheavy particles of grand unified theories, we find that: (i) consistently with the present bounds, gluinos with a mass of 1-1.5 GeV and relatively long lived (cτ ≈ 1 cm) can be obtained from a virtual heavy top exchange (150 GeV {less-than or approximate} mt {less-than or approximate} 200 GeV); (ii) the photino masses are in the 100 MeV range; (iii) no sizable gravitational radiative effect exists at one loop. © 1983.

Abstract
