Abstract

The article joins the traditional phylosophical reflection on the issue of the relativism in the contructivism as it abandoned the realistic viewpoint. Exploring its concrete implications relativism turns into the ethical issue of permissivism: if there is not an unique reality, as can an action be judged right or wrong? Strating from some personal experiences the author pay this question and explore its implications in the therapeutic practice. Through some exemples of clinical cases the author underlines as change can be seen as a re-construction, but this does not imply to fall into the permissivistic trap: setting some bonds (sayng “no”) on old directions is possible, sometimes necessary, in order to allow new directions to be opened.
