The two themeshere in the following developed are some of the central issues of the so-called “analytic metaphysics” or “analytic ontology”. Others are the “mind-body problem”, the notion of possible worlds, necessity and essentialism, causation, the difference between natural kinds and artifacts and so on. Aim of the volume is to show that there is a close semantic connection between the concepts of individual, mind and body in Leibniz, we have tried to prove it from an analytical and a historical point of view.
