This article examines various themes, the subject of which is the relationship between homicide and suicide in southern Italy. The hypotheses inherent to the rapport between emotional expression and forms of communication are compared, underscoring the importance of the cultural systems in which social values are constructed, meaning the sense oF the life and of the death.
