A proteomic approach has been used to investigate immunity in foals. Sera from colostred foals at seven and ninety days after birth has been analyzed in high resolution two dimensional electrophoresis. The results showed a different protein patterns in sera of newboarn foals respect sera obtained after ninety days, particularly in immunoglobulin profile. Our work represents a first holistic approach to investigate immunity in foals.

Abstract
