Abstract

Early pregnancy vaginal bleeding due to threatened abortion is a common condition in reproductive medicine. Patients and their physicians are extremely anxious about the viability of the pregnancy, but there is no effective marker to predict in advance the outcome of these pregnancies. Determination of maternal serum inhibin A in women with threatened abortion may be helpful in predicting the failure of pregnancies.
