In this work the effects of different salinities on the activity and expression of superoxide dismutase in haemocytes were evaluated. The clams were kept for 7 days at 28, 34 and 40‰. The results showed a significant change of Mn SOD and CuZn SOD in animals maintained at 40‰ proving a general state of sufferance of the antioxidant defence system in C. gallina.
