European funds granted by the ECC Regulation 2080/92 (on farmland afforestation) led to the creation of several tree farming plantations in the Province of Gorizia (N-E Italy) in the years 1994-2001. This research project involves investigation of these plantations in order to collect informations on their capability to produce high quality wood.

Abstract
