The paper provides a contribution to the Italian validation of the Internal (IMS-S) and External (EMS-S) Motivation to respond without Sexism Scale (Klonis, Plant and Devine, 2005). Participants were 160 males. Data analysis led to the development of a 12-item scale. Compared to the original one, differences emerged regarding the number of items constituting the scale and the non-independence of the two dimensions. The instrument showed good psychometric properties. The correlations between the two sub-scales and the other constructs considered were consistent with research hypotheses; only EMS-S moderately correlated with social desirability.
