Burns-Krantz have stated in 1994 a boundary version of Cartan's uniqueness theorem. The purpose of the present paper is twofold. First, to get a purely local statemt. Second to extend the conclusion from the cas e of a boundary of a domain to a CR manifold of higher codimension.
