The paper deals with an automatic design procedure for axisymmetric induction heating systems, which makes use of the Volume Integral eddy current formulation known as the Coupled Circuit Method. Starting from a preliminary tentative design, the position of each turn of the exciting coil is automatically adjusted, within specified boundaries, to move step by step towards the required synthesis. A package has been implemented and successfully applied to the design of inductors and its main features are reported in the paper together with a number of numerical examples.

Abstract: | The paper deals with an automatic design procedure for axisymmetric induction heating systems, which makes use of the Volume Integral eddy current formulation known as the Coupled Circuit Method. | |
