The authors report that, with modern optic fiber endoscopes equipped with appropriate pincers, foreign bodies can easily be removed from the esophagus, stomach and duodenum. The advantages of a flexible instrument for removal of endoesophageal foreign bodies, as compared with the traditional rigid esophagoscopes are emphasized.

Abstract
