SUMMARY: We have studied 10 dogs to evaluate the useful application of Brainstem Auditory Evoked Potential (BAEP) with “120 Decibel Sound Pressure Level” (dB SPL) as a method to diagnose a congenital and/or acquired deafness in the dog. This technique permits to analyse the normal electric conduction throughout the acustic nerve and the Brainstem Auditory tract, and hence identify the lesion.
