The research is a longitudinal study, from the 7th month of pregnancy till the 12th month of child life, and examine 30 couples. The work tries to study: (1) the role of the quality of adult representation of attachment as regards the quality of dyadic adjustment of couple's relationship; (2) the development of couple's dyadic adjustment in transition to parenthood. At each phase, some instruments have been administered: at 7th month of pregnancy, the adult representation of attachment experiences were examined with Adult Attachment Interview (AAI, George, Kaplan, Main, 1985); at 7degrees month of pregnancy and 4degrees, 9degrees and 12degrees month of child life the dyadic adjustment were assessed with Dyadic Adjustment Scale (DAS, Spanier, 1976). Results indicated that not were correlations between quality of adult attachment representation in the couple; parents representations of attachment not were associated with quality of couple's dyadic adjustment to pregnancy from parenthood. The quality of parents dyadic adjustment decreased significantly to pregnancy from 12degrees month of child life and this process is a developmental trajectory which are correlated between the partners in the couple. Finally, the duration of couple relationship is correlated with quality of dyadic adjustment, in the time.
