The aim of this paper is to review Rorschach contributions on the process and outcome of psychotherapy. The paper focuses on contributions where the Rorschach is scored with the Exner Comprehensive System. The goal is to offer a methodological coherent viewpoint on a literature that often appears fragmented. Our attention is focused on the methodology and on the results and methodological shortcomings of different national and international studies. The paper is completed by the description of a clinical case where the Rorschach, scored by the Comprehensive system, was administered at the beginning and after one year of psycho-dynamically oriented treatment, in order to highlight changes.
