This article focuses on the variation between the simple preterite and the present perfect in narrative clauses in a corpus of 108 Andean and Limeno speakers who have come into contact as a result of migration to the Peruvian capital. Our main objective is to determine the direction of change in Andean and Limeno patterns, and their possible fusion in the speech of different generations of migrants in the capital.

Abstract
