Ten transitions linking the superdeformed band to the normal deformed states have been identified in 133Nd. These transitions drain the full band intensity into the different band structures established at lower spin. The major part of the decay out of the superdeformed band is understood in terms of mixing of levels which involve orbitals differing by two major oscillator quantum numbers.
