Neutron spectra in coincidence with fission fragments have been measured for the 115 MeV O-16+Sm-144 and 270 MeV Ni-60+Mo-100 reactions, populating 160Yb compound nucleus at E(x) approximately 75 MeV excitation energy. The extracted pre-scission multiplicity for the Ni-60+Mo-100 reaction is substantially larger than the statistical model prediction, demonstrating clearly that dynamical-effects dominate even at low excitation energy.

Abstract
Neutron spectra in coincidence with fission fragments have been measured for the 115 MeV O-16+Sm-144 and 270 MeV Ni-60+Mo-100 reactions, populating 160Yb compound nucleus at E(x) approximately 75 MeV excitation energy. The extracted pre-scission multiplicity for the Ni-60+Mo-100 reaction is substantially larger than the statistical model prediction, demonstrating clearly that dynamical-effects dominate even at low excitation energy.File in questo prodotto:
