L = 0 alpha-transfer reactions in both the Ni- and the Sn-mass regions are analyzed in terms of the pairing vibrational model. The fingerprint of hot orbitals known from two-nucleon transfer cross sections are clearly seen in the Ni-data. The experimental findings in the Sn-mass region can be correlated on the basis of the A-dependence of the two-nucleon transfer cross sections for both protons and neutrons. © 1978.

Abstract
