Neutron spectra in coincidence with fission fragments have been measured for the 190 MeV Si-28 + Ge-76 populating Pd-104 compound nucleus at E(x) approximately 133 MeV excitation energy. The extracted prescission multiplicity for symmetric splitting is nu(pre) = 1.1+/-0.2. The average fission time tau(F) = 6(-2)+3X10(-20) s is determined, in good agreement with the systematics of Hinde et al. for heavier systems (A greater-than-or-equal-to 125 compound nuclei).
