Improvement on RCPM was studied in unilateral brain damaged patients. For right brain damaged patients the major contribution to the improvement was in the B set, whereas in the left brain damaged group the major improvement was in the A set. Since the correct solution of A items are due to visuo-perceptive skills, while B items require analogical reasoning, it is concluded that improvement on cognitive abilities, as measured by RCPM, is function of the healthy hemisphere. © 1978.

Abstract
