The paper presents the contents of a book devoted to a multidisciplinary compared analisys of medical atrocities amounting to war crimes and crimes against humanity committed by Japanese doctors as well as the Nazis during World War II. Further instances of analogous atrocities are also mentioned as committed by the US. Different politics of memory and the practices of prosecution/impunity at national and international levels are also discussed.
