Crisi economica e orientamento: Il punto di vista degli operatori

Rapid changes and severe uncertainties that characterize economically, productively, politically and culturally postmodern societies also impact career counselors and researchers. In occasion of the international conference "Vocational Designing and Career Counseling. Challenges and New Horizons " that was held in Padova in 2011, the organizers launched a project to give voice to career and life designing professionals and researchers from all over the word. The answers to ten questions on the future of vocational designing and career counseling were collected in a book and were here analyzed. The emerged strengths, weakness, opportunities, threats represent the challenge and worries that vocational and career counselors are now facing. The life design approach and the emphasis on narrative approaches seem represent new point of reference, as well as the necessity to go over the one-to-one relation toward small and big group that envisage the involvement of the context, the use of new technology and adopting a preventive role of the vocational designing and career counseling.
