Abstract
In the Lessini mountains (NE Italy) a new geological map was performed in order to unravel the origin of the cone-shaped culmination called Mt. Purga of Velo veronese. The new map shows that Mt. Purga lies in the transfer zone where two opposing normal faults overlap. The geometry of the transfer zone falls into the "conjugate convergent overlapping" model of Morley et al.'s (1990) classification, but the non-orthogonal Tertiary extension led to a quite different structure.File in questo prodotto:
