The effects of chemical, biological weapons, toxic industrial chemicals/toxic industrial materials (TICs/TIMs) on buildings, and their occupants, from to threats of extremists or natural disasters, is function of many factors including the type of incident, the hazardous agents released, the location of the release, and the characteristic of the materials exposed to the agents within the enclosed building interior space the airborne agents related to air-handling systems in buildings. Consequences of CB incident mitigation depend largely from the availability of effective decontamination methods and standards for “volumes” clean up.
