This patent proposal concerns an optimized-shape device for the connection of construction elements, able to control the energy dissipation in the seismic zone. This product is made of plates specifically shaped to convey and concentrate the plasticization in some of its designed parts, in order to guarantee the required mechanical performance under cyclic loads, while avoiding at the same time the damage of the connected elements. Besides mechanical efficiency, it has wide versatility, both for applications and constitutive material, ease of installation, removability and substitutability.

Abstract
