Abstract

To date, nanotechnology is one of the most fascinating branches of science as it is at the interface of physics, chemistry and engineering. Among the different nano- tech applications, those in the biomedical field are ever growing. This requires additional knowledge of biochem- istry, pharmacology and medicine. In this context, nano- structures are worldwide studied as intriguing alternatives to molecular systems due to their final unconventional properties, which may pave the way to new horizons in diagnostic and therapeutic strategies.
