Rénover du "dedans" ou de l'agency des résidents

The author identifi es in the history of the ZEN neighbourhood (Palermo), the hermeneutics of the relationship between the built environment and its residents, i.e. of the dwelling forms. In their mass mediated version as in the erudite one, they have claimed, legitimized and oriented the multiple and differentiated intervention projects, which, over the years, have targeted, from time to time, the regeneration of the built environment and the social transformation of their residents. Eclipsed in these readings, on the other hand, the residents, theirs relationship with the “house”, their transforming action on the built environment, stigmatized in these hermeneutical, they express the invention of a limited agency and account to the urban socio-economic constraints whose the dwelling forms remain the living index.

L’autore identifi ca nella storia unica del quartiere ZEN (Palermo), le ermeneutiche del rapporto tra spazio costruito e residenti, delle forme dell’abitare. Nella loro versione mediatica come in quella erudita, esse hanno sostenuto, legittimato e orientato i diversi progetti di intervento, che nel corso degli anni hanno preso di mira, di volta in volta, la riqualifi cazione degli spazi e la “trasformazione” sociale dei loro residenti. Di questi, ultimi, d’altro canto, proprio il rapporto con gli alloggi, l’azione di trasformazione del costruito di cui sono artefi ci, invisibili o stigmatizzati in queste ermeneutiche esprimono da una parte l’invenzione di una iniziativa personale che non cessa di cercarsi e dall’altra rinviano ai sistemi di costrizione socio-economica alla scala della città di cui la forma dell’abitare resta l’indice.
