The studies of the ceramic technology of the final Bronze age settlement of Frattesina (Rovigo), were former addressed macroscopically and later archaeometrically (by OM and XRPD) highlighting remarkable results and a series of issues to solve. In particular, it is the identification of 5 main different pastes locally produced (Petrofabrics A, B, C, E and F) correlated to the different forms of pots and then to their probable and different functionality. A recent in-depth petrographic study, here presented, has pointed out the external origin of some samples as further proof of the emporium and craft role of the settlement.
