A bare filament quasi-circular flywheel has been instrumented with strain gauges and the strains in the spokes measured using a slip-ring assembly to transfer the signal from the strain gauges to the stator of the machine. The results are compared with theoretical results obtained using a mathematical model described in previous papers. Abstract
The results of some temperature measurements, aimed at defining possible test procedures rather than evaluating the temperature field of the flywheel, are also presented. The influence of the results obtained on the design of such highly loaded structures is discussed. © 1985.File in questo prodotto:
