The study focuses on the application of the Lausanne Trilogue Play (LTP) procedure for the observation of triad interaction among mother-father-child in adolescence and it intends to provide a preliminary contribution to the validation of the coding system of the procedure (FAAS 6.3). For this purpose, the LT P procedure was administered to 3 groups of families (N = 58): a group of families referred to Neuropsychiatry Unit (SC IAF), a group of families with a child admitted to residential treatment for Substance Use Disorders and a comparison group. Results indicated good levels of inter-rater reliability and clinical validity for the LT P procedure and the coding system proposed by the authors
