Per un'edizione digitale dell'archivio di Vittorio Alfieri

This essay presents the Digital Alfieri project, aimed at providing a scholarly digital edition of Vittorio Alfieri’s Archive. Firstly, a description of manuscripts is provided, with special attention paid to the main issues regarding the author’s autobiography (Vita scritta da esso), which has been chosen as a case study to test our project. Secondly, the main structure of the edition is described, and the main issues for the edition of the manuscripts, texts, and Alfieri’s library are discussed. Finally, an overview of the most relevant technical and digital issues is provided, with a focus on standard, interoperability and durability of data.
