This paper provides a global reexamination of the inscriptional epigram In capitulo fratrum from cod. B. N. Par. Lat. 8071, fol. 60v, edited by G. B. De Rossi in 1888. After having proposed several emendations to the text of the seven pseu- do-hexameters of the titulus and having underlined the parallels with Late Antique and Early Medieval monastic literature, the author provides a new edition and the first translation of the epigram into a modern language.
