Can we think of an interspecies relationship based on justice? Is it possible to imagine the interaction between lions and gazelles regulated by justice rules? If this kind of questions could appear unreasonable, or even crazy, why do we consider normal, not to say necessary, that homo sapiens acknowledges animal rights and protects endangered species, encouraging individual and collective complex actions? Furthermore, why do we define as immoral and cruel practises like pet abandonments or industrial animal slaughter? This paper tries to answer these questions by considering the issue of nonhuman animal rights as part of the posthuman perspective. The purpose of this work is to make a comparison between some traditional theories and Martha Nussbaum’s capabilities approach.

Abstract
The purpose of this work is to make a comparison between some traditional theories and Martha Nussbaum’s capabilities approach.Pubblicazioni consigliate
