We considered Al-Abbadi and colleagues' comments about the role of lymph node core needle biopsy (LNCB) and fine needle cytology (LNFNC) for the diagnosis of lymphadenopathies [1]. While we understand the Authors' arguments, we still think that they do not justify the systematic use of LNCB/LNFNC as first diagnostic approach.

Abstract
