With the evolution of the global market towards a green deal, ISO standards on Life Cycle Assessment represent the reference documents for the quantification of potential environmental impacts of a product system. To be in line with this change, ISO TC 207 SC5 recently discussed and published new amendments of ISO 14040 and ISO 14044. What are the main changes? Why not a new revision of the standards since 2006? This paper presents the main news introduced in the documents and open the discussion for future evolution of the ISO TC 207 SC5 standards.
