Torchiato di Fregona is a dessert wine produced in the hillsides 40 miles north of Venice. This wine is made from the dried grapes of three local varities: Prosecco, Verdiso and Boschera. In the Veneto region it is well known and highly regarded for its typicity and its strong ties to the traditions of the area. Despite the limits of the size of the DOC area and the small scale production of the wineries, with some effort in marketing it is possible to improve the sale of this wine. The construction of a drying structure that can hold the grapes of many producers could lead young farmers into the production of this wine. The coordination of all the aspects of production and marketing by the consortium can lead to the necessary critical mass for the future development of the Torchiato of Fregona

Abstract
Torchiato di Fregona is a dessert wine produced in the hillsides 40 miles north of Venice. This wine is made from the dried grapes of three local varities: Prosecco, Verdiso and Boschera. In the Veneto region it is well known and highly regarded for its typicity and its strong ties to the traditions of the area. Despite the limits of the size of the DOC area and the small scale production of the wineries, with some effort in marketing it is possible to improve the sale of this wine. The construction of a drying structure that can hold the grapes of many producers could lead young farmers into the production of this wine. The coordination of all the aspects of production and marketing by the consortium can lead to the necessary critical mass for the future development of the Torchiato of FregonaFile | Dimensione | Formato | |
