Social and cultural anthropologists study and analyse the cultural maps that human beings construct in order to orient themselves in relationships to fellow creatures and everything that surrounds them. These maps are fundamental for people to be able to face the multiple experiences that dot their life, especially those expectations of which are most disorienting and sometimes disturbing because of that. The article deals in particular with the theme of cultural maps in relation to an experience we have very little certainty of, that is, the experience of death, whether it is others’ or our. In support of human beings, in contrast to disorientation, we find the founding myths through which men tell and explain the appearance of their ancestors and loss of immortality. The narration of this loss marks the transformation of death from a biological fact to a cultural event, with really interesting implications; they can also be such for clinical psychologist in the construction and analysis of some therapeutic paths.

Abstract
The narration of this loss marks the transformation of death from a biological fact to a cultural event, with really interesting implications; they can also be such for clinical psychologist in the construction and analysis of some therapeutic paths.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
